The Buda VoAg Booster Club (Vocational Agriculture) is hosting a night of fun to benefit the Buda 4H and Hays County FFA Youth on Saturday, Aug. 24th! They select a non-profit each year to promote and this year, they selected Upside Of Down! All 200+ attendees will have UpsideOfDown.org on their wrist all night! Hopefully we'll increase the acceptance of people with Down syndrome and raise lots of awareness!
There will be food, dancing, silent and live auctions and the Sam Bentley Band! Everyone's invited and we hope to see you there! Saturday, August 17 2013
We're sorry to say that we won't be hosting an Upside Of Down Golf Tournament this fall. Our innaugural tournament was an amazing success last year and we look forward to having another one in 2014! It's a whole lot of work to put on a golf tournament; especially when you aim to out do such a great one like last year's!! Jeffrey and I are going to try to slow down a bit this fall and enjoy our family and some down time! There really isn't much down time when we both work full time and have 3 kids, but imagine that plus some. I wouldn't trade it for the world! If you're interested in helping us plan the 2014 golf tourney, please let me know! The planning starts in January! We are excited about an upcoming event hosted by DSACT (Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas) that we want to share with you. They have organized an information session by DSRTF (Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation) on Sept. 17th at UT! Upside Of Down is one of the sponsors as well, and it goes hand in hand with one of our major initiatives, which is to help fund Down syndrome research! In 2013, Upside Of Down was able to donate $14,000 to DSRTF and it was matched by 3 because it was World Down Syndrome Day! Thanks to all of you who helped make that happen! Here are the details for the upcoming DSRTF Information Session: Tuesday, Sept. 17th |
