• Caden: "Mom, I love Martin Luther King, Jr."
  Mom: "That's great honey, why?"
  Caden: "Because I'm white and my best friend, E'Shun is brown.  If Martin Luther King, Jr. was never born, then E'Shun and I couldn't be friends!  I love him for that!"
  
  
• Don't say the "R" word - it's really mean and will hurt my sister's feelings!
  
  
• Can you believe that Presley has Down syndrome - she talks so good :)
  
  
• Mom. I wish Abbey had Down syndrome too so I could teach her more!
  
  
• We were in a restaurant and Caden noticed an older man with Down syndrome and pointed and said that he was 'silly'.  After I explained that it's rude to point and not nice to say people are silly just because they may be different, I asked him WHY he thought that man was silly...his response was this - "Well, is he a daddy or is he a kid, I don't know!"  It was one of the cutest, best explanations of people with Down syndrome.  They are a young person in a body of their age.
  
  
• Your baby sister's name is Presley!  "No, it's Avery!"  We named her Presley instead of Avery... "well then I'll just call her Baby Sister!"
  
  
• "Mom, when I grow up and get big, I want to be Baby Sister's step dad...."  Why, I asked?  "Because I love her and she needs 2 dads too!"
  
  
• In Target a lady said to Caden, "Is that your baby sister?"  He responded with, "no, she's my baby."
  
  
• "Mom, when I get big, I will build a beautiful house and Sister can live there with me and my kids."
  
  
• "Mom, I love sister and I want her forever!"
  
  
• "Stop crying, you're hurting my tummy!"
